Broken Desktop Print E-mail
A customer called with a broken computer. It wouldn't start, just turned on and sat there. He dropped it off and after about 15 minutes we called back with the news. Broken hard drive. He wasn't quite sure what to make of it, and couldn't afford to get a new one bought and installed at the moment. So we found an old used one and put it in and just charged $10 for the drive, and to put a base install of windows on the computer.

We also managed to recover some of his scripts and music from the hard drive. He picked up the computer and we sent him links to a good priced replacement drive and memory.
After about a month he had gotten the money together to buy the new hard drive and memory for his computer and once it delivered to his house we met again to finish the work. It only took about an hour to install the new hard drive and memory, and he was on his way with a much faster computer.
