Laptop and Wireless Network |

A customer called Jibwa LLC asking for advise on options for a laptop and wireless network she was going to purchase from Dell Online. After talking for about 20 minutes it was obvious that she was spending at least $500 more then she should have been, and wasn't getting the options that would be best for her location and lifestyle.
It turns out she didn't spend much time, maybe one or two days a week, at home, and that she was often traveling to other major city's and spending time downtown. Instead of paying the money to get a cable modem, a wireless router, and the internet monthly we decided to get her Verizon Broadband which would work in any of the places she spent her time.
Together we also decided against the model she had chosen which was the smallest model in order to be portable, but after finding out she worked a lot with spreadsheets and some graphical editing getting a 14' laptop was a much better choice and the model was much less expensive. Also we found the model she had chosen didn't actually have a CD-ROM drive or a video card.
So we ended up at slightly below her original budget, and instead of spending money on getting the smallest laptop, we ended up with a better fit, with a 3 year warranty, and everywhere unlimited internet access for a better price. She was most happy that she didn't have to worry about her home setup breaking, and having to figure out how to sign on at every new location she went!
